NLSDays takes place outside Sweden for the first time

The event is organized by SwedenBio. Medeon, since many years one of NLSDays, main sponsors, will showcase Medeon Science Park & Incubator at the exhibition.

NLSDays 2023 marks the tenth consecutive event since its inception. The initial goal was to bring together the Nordic life science community in one place and provide people, companies, and investors from outside the Nordic region with excellent opportunities to connect and make business with Nordic parties, according to Olivier Duchamp-Giudicelli, Managing Director at NLSDays and Vice-President at SwedenBio.

"After four years of events in Stockholm, we selected Malmö for the next couple of years to make it even more 'Nordic' and closely linked to the other significant life science cluster in the Nordics, i.e. Denmark´s. It's important to me that NLSDays becomes a truly Nordic affair every year. Our ambition is to create an inclusive Nordic event to encourage also Norway, Finland, and Iceland to participate and feel comfortable in our community" he said.

SwedenBio, the organizer, is the largest membership organization within the life science industry in Sweden.

Differences from previous years' events

In addition to one-on-one partnering meetings, company presentations, and inspiring fireside chats, there will be numerous collaboration opportunities and gatherings around the stages. However, the main highlights are the six Super Sessions.

"We have six Super Sessions with topics that, unlike previous years, do not focus on different therapeutic areas but instead are directed towards different business aspects" Olivier Duchamp-Giudicelli continues.

The Super Sessions' themes range from 'Preparing for the next unicorn: how to choose your business strategy? ' to 'Harnessing data to improve our health'. This year, there will also be a larger exhibition area for the life science industry compared to previous years.

"There are more exhibitors than ever before, and we were sold out several months ago. We also anticipate increased regional, particularly Danish, participation and more attendees from abroad. Since we set record participation numbers last year, we are confident that this year's event will break the records with even greater participation.”

Pre-event in Lund, Sweden

"On the day before the actual event, on November 28, we will host pre-events at Medicon Village in Lund, Sweden, including a tour of the Skåne life science ecosystem. There will also be an investor pre-event in Lund."

This year's conference is celebrating its 10th anniversary. On November 29-30, NLSDays 2023 will open its doors at Bella Arena in the Bella Center in Copenhagen. Next year, the event will be held in Malmö.
